What Is Point Road Media Center's Check Out Policy?
Students in Kindergarten and First Grade can check out one book. Second through Fourth Grades may check out two books per cycle during their scheduled visit. Books are expected to be returned by the next class visit. Students cannot check out a new book until the previous one has been returned. Students who finish a book before the next library visit, may, with the teacher's permission, come to the library to exchange books.
When Do Students Visit The Media Center?
Students will visit the Media Center during their Technology Class.
Can A Book Be Renewed?
If a student has not finished a book, it may be renewed.
What If A Student Forgets To Return A Book?
If a student is absent or forgets to return a book, they should return the book as soon as possible. Do not wait for the next class visit. Overdue notices may be sent home with the student.
What If A Book Is Damaged?
Accidents happen and books do get worn out. Do not try to fix any book. The library has special materials to repair damaged books. Please put a note in the book when it is returned, and I will take care of it.
What Happens If A Book Gets Lost?
If a book is lost or severely damaged the student/parent/guardian must pay the replacement cost of that book. A notice will be sent home with the student. If the book is found by the end of the school year, the money will be refunded.
